Barack Obama’s victory speech

Barack Obama’s victory speech, “America is a place where all things are possible” was after winning the US presidential election, November 4, 2008. He Obama uses a woman named, Ann Nixon Cooper, for an example emphasizing how strong women are. Explaining how she stands for her country, despite all the things she seen; she never lost her faith. Obama wants the people of the United States to have her faith and determination for this country. He continues to stir the audience’s emotions by giving in the anaphora “Yes we can” which he uses often to stabilize the feeling of victory in the listeners. Obama wanted them to feel supported and that they can change something; That every vote counts. The tone in the speech is engaging with powerful, positive and emotional words.
