Based on the figure above, it clearly stated that all the Cognitive Domains or the six levels of learning: Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating, and Creating, will happen inside the classroom and being implemented by the teacher (Bloom, 1969).
For many years, the traditional teaching style or specifically, teacher-centered instruction has been dominant in the field of education (Ahmed 2013). However, one of the contemporary trends that we are adapting is the involvement of the technology in the learning process of the students. Physical Education is facing an issue about how and when technology be integrated in teaching physical education concepts among students (Department of Education, 2014). Moreover, physical educators feel that with the use of technology, it creates the physical education classes more varied and dynamic as far as the learning is concerned (SPARK Blog, 2016). Thus, technology is definitely a great material for the teacher to deliver quality education to the students of this age.
According to Kachka (2012), one of the latest in educational trends is the Flipped Learning Method which may generate and buzz new ideas and concepts with the use of technology. This method will not solve the many problems of education rather a great first step to reframe the role of the teacher inside the classroom (Miller, 2012)
Zainuddin and Halili (2016) cited that the study of flipped classroom is based on the theory of Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy of Cognitive Domain. This taxonomy provides six levels of learning: Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating, and Creating (Bloom, 1969). In implementing the flipped classroom model, remembering and understanding, the lowest levels of cognitive domain, are practiced outside class hours while in the classroom, the learners focused on higher forms of cognitive work such as applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating (Krathwohl and Anderson, 2010). The figure below shows the framework of traditional flipped classroom.
