MATERIALS AND METHODS
A cross sectional study was conducted to attain the objectives of this study.
The investigator was chosen the paediatric unit of Centre for the rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP). Inpatient paediatric unit is a residential program that provides two weeks of intensive service for 40 children with their caregivers. They stay in Paediatric unit for 13 days, then next group come for another 13 days. In inpatient unit most of the children are with cerebral palsy. In CRP the participants are available in indoor paediatric unit.
From January to April 2017
The target population of the study was the parents of children with cerebral palsy, those who come for treatment as a paediatric inpatient.
Developed a questionnaire addressing each component regarding as per the procedure of the enlargement of a standard questionnaire. Preliminary questionnaire was developed in English. Subsequently, it was interpreted to Bangla. Making sure that all mothers are included, the investigator asked them questions. Most of the questions were close-ended and multiple choice questions. The questionnaire was pre-tested on 4 respondents. The questionnaire was finalized after necessary modification based on the finding of the pre-test.
In the study parents participated with their children and you can see the male CP children are shown in larger area rather than female. The percentages of male children were 68% compared to 42% of female children.
