The Philippines was one of only three countries in the world and the only one in Asia that still had only 10 years in basic education. according to the Department of Education’s (DepEd) briefer, “view the 10-year education cycle as insufficient.”especially if you work abroad in developed countries like the USA. know that we follow the international curriculum of basic education. we can now work abroad and be accepted widely in different areas of jobs. But still, many objects on this new curriculum.
Most filipino’s objects this curriculum since, there is another 2 years of additional basic education means another school payment for parents to pay others objects this because who wants to have another 2 years studying in school. Well it may be right and it maybe wrong. First its true there is another 2 years of studying but The government encourages parents to think of the K to 12 curriculum guide not as having two extra years of high school, but as two years less of higher education. Second is that The Department of Education has meticulously prepared an implementation plan for the Senior High School
program which it presented to Congress last March 11. Among the plan is a Senior High School Voucher Program under which the government will pay for senior high students who cannot be accommodated in public schools and must enroll in private school.
Finally, with K- 12, Filipino graduates will be automatically recognized as professionals abroad because we are following the international education standard as practiced by all nations. There will be no need to study again and spend more money in order to qualify to their standards. With this, Filipino professionals who aspire to work abroad will not find a hard time in getting jobs in line with their chosen field and will be able to help their families more in the Philippines as well as the country’s economy with their remittances, property buying, and creation of businesses.
Not only in abroad but in the Philippines as well, because the graduates of this program are more ready to enter the labor. high school graduates of the 10-year course of study weren’t nevertheless employable since they weren’t competent or well–equipped enough for the workplace. But with the new curriculum senior high school students can specialize in a subject that they are right at and interested in. As a result, upon graduation they will have the specific job-related capabilities they need even barring a university degree. When they graduate from high school, these young people will be 18 and employable, including to the nation’s manpower.
