When I joined South Bend Code School

When I joined South Bend Code School (SBCS) I knew almost nothing about code, but throughout the two years I was there I can recall numerous experiences that helped me boost confidence and develop many skills. My instructors had many ways of making the lessons effective and understandable in a way I could comprehend. SBCS incorporated public speaking in many projects, which boosted my confidence. Students of SBCS got to choose their own projects, where you would be paired with an instructor and several other students with the same idea. The method of project based learning and group coordination not only helped me with creating new social skills but also assisted in creating new friendships along the way.
Each prompt SBCS gave us got increasingly more difficult adding new code languages and other methods of coding, some of the languages I learned include: HTML, CSS, JQuery, and Python.
In the society we live in now I believe technology is virtually unavoidable. SBCS helped me get a headstart in this fast-paced technological world that we live in. Currently, the school systems are attempting to incorporate technology into their classrooms whereas SBCS has already done this while maintaining the traditional classroom environment. I give SBCS a lot of credit because they made me aware of a “new ability” I had in code.
